Embracing all layers of life with you

In Picking the Crayons by Oliver Jeffers, Teun has a problem. He wants to make a drawing, but when he opens his coloring box, he only finds a pile of letters in it.

The letters come from his crayons, which are striking. Black wants to be used for more than just the lines and Beige doesn't want to be in the shadow of Brown anymore. Blue needs rest after all the rivers, oceans and skies he has worked on. Red also complains that he has to do too much, while Pink would like to be used more often. Can Teun calm down his crayons and come up with a solution that everyone is happy with?

Oliver Jeffers is an artist and illustrator. His picture books have been published in more than 30 languages and have won many international awards. The Rainbow Chalk is his favorite. Drew Daywalt is actually a filmmaker. This is the first picture book he wrote. His favorite crayon is Black, but he makes sure that he colors equally with all crayons.
