Chrome-free leather is soft and light. It comes from farms in the south of Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul) and undergoes an innovative tanning process that does not use chromium, heavy metals or dangerous acids. The simplification of the tanning process reduces the use of chemicals and energy, and reduces the use of water by about 40% and salt by 80%. After tanning, the water is recyclable.
